The Problem
I needed to migrate a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0) front-end application from one server to another.
Issues
Attempts to install another just another front-end failed, giving us a “Failed to connect to the configuration database” error.
The Central Administration (CA) site will need to be moved as well.
