It’s Not PowerPoint’s Fault
I have to love that even the inventors of PowerPoint agree that their tool has empowered some really bad presentations.
Dennis Austin did the bulk of the initial programming says, “It’s just like the printing press; it enabled all sorts of garbage to be printed.”
They go on to point out that it is only a tool to present information. The bad presentations are really the result of the work – or lack thereof – of the presenter.
It reminds me of the many people who have told me that they know how to use Photoshop. It usually seems too condescending to ask whether or not they can design. Besides, the answer is usually pretty obvious.
This makes me wonder what the creator of Comic Sans thinks of their spawn.
